Referring to the good history of relations between Iran and Japan, the President emphasised the efforts to promote cooperation and suggested that the relevant authorities prepare a comprehensive plan in the first step that outlines and defines the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the coming years.
Continuing the plans of the third day of his trip to New York, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi had a the meeting with Mr Fumio Kishida, the Prime Minister of Japan, and pointed out the good records of the relations between the two countries, emphasising the efforts to promote cooperation and suggested that the relevant authorities, in the first step, prepare a comprehensive plan that outlines and defines the perspective of cooperation between the two countries in the coming years.
Announcing his readiness to participate in solving the issues related to the bad promises of the United States and Europe in fulfilling the obligations of the nuclear agreement, Dr Raisi pointed out that Iran is committed to fulfilling its obligations and said, "The Islamic Republic of Iran is waiting for the practical action of the United States in fulfilling its obligations in the nuclear agreement".
In this meeting, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced his country's desire to expand relations with Iran as well as diplomatic efforts to strengthen regional stability and cooperation.
The Prime Minister of Japan, stating that he considers Iran to be a country with high capacities, considered the development of bilateral relations between Tehran and Tokyo important for the stability of the region.
Fumio Kishida also welcomed Iran's position regarding the end of the war in Ukraine and described Iran's role in solving the problems and issues of the region and the Persian Gulf as important and constructive.
